About House of Mălin

The House of Mălin is a South-West London based, boutique design studio, specialising in Residential Interior Design, Styling and Home Editing.  We offer our private clients a collaborative approach, using our expertise and creative flair to produce affordable, unique, beautiful interiors that make happy homes.  Most of our work is within Battersea, Wandsworth, SW and Central London, Surrey and Hampshire, though we do travel further afield depending on the scope of works.

The studio was founded by Michaela who studied Interior Design at the prestigious KLC School of Design in Chelsea Harbour.  She has a natural flair for colour and design and an ability for organising people and spaces.  After many years working as an independent designer and private PA to UHNWIs, she decided to launch House of Mălin – a small studio of independent, super-talented and creative people with differing areas of expertise.  She felt a collaborative studio would benefit everyone, particularly the client.  With such a large breadth of knowledge and experience within the studio, we ensure that every project is infused with warmth, personality and authenticity.

We are passionate about helping people love the homes they live in. We believe that a client’s home should be a reflection of their personality, as well as being functional and stylish. Our ethos is to keep the impact on the environment as small as possible, so we endeavour to re-use items, wherever possible by repurposing, restoring or sourcing vintage pieces which sit alongside newer items. This mix of contemporary design, vintage pieces and some statement artwork creates interesting, harmonious, genuine, dynamic and affordable interiors.
